Move to the cloud for payroll inevitable: Presence of IT

By Freya Purnell

Most organisations with more than 500 employees will want their payroll in the cloud within five years, predicts David Brookes, CEO of SAP services partner and HCM expert, Presence of IT.

Brookes made the prediction as Presence of IT announced it has expanded its capabilities and implementation services for the SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll solution.

The EC-Payroll offering enables enterprises to easily migrate their existing human capital applications to the cloud, lowering overhead costs associated with running payroll applications and reducing the burden of costly and complex upgrades.

“Our clients can be confident that when they make the decision to move their HCM systems to a cloud-based platform, Employee Central Payroll will deliver the benefits they need on a single platform,” Brookes said.

Presence of IT can also provide this new offer based on the SuccessFactors solution to its existing base of SAP customers.

Shane Grobler, director, business transformation and strategy, Presence of IT, said the EC-Payroll offering will have value for both new and existing clients.

“For new clients, we anticipate that EC-Payroll will reduce implementation costs by up to 60 per cent when compared to traditional implementation approaches due to process improvements, significant pre-configuration and the overall benefits offered by cloud,” he said. “For existing clients running SAP who want to adopt talent management, we can build a roadmap to help them port their whole payroll to the cloud, while protecting their existing IT investments.”

According to Presence of IT, the EC-Payroll solutions offers enterprises flexibility and agility in how they choose to manage their HCM solutions. New clients can easily migrate their existing HR and payroll processes to Employee Central Payroll, and can choose to manage it themselves or have it fully outsourced.

“Presence of IT has done a lot of innovation to help ensure that this solution delivers a range of benefits to both existing customers and to new customers,” said Ben Corser, vice president, cloud ecosystem and channels for APJ, SAP. “It’s a right-time, right-place solution that offers best-in-class technology, delivered with a customer-first approach.”
