SAP has released a new offering that makes the adoption of SAP Business Suite on SAP HANA faster and simpler.

According to SAP, the offering automates the database migration process of Business Suite to HANA through a series of preconfigured software, implementation services, standardised content and end-user enablement.
It is available for all customers and partners at a fixed price and scope implementation.
SAP is hoping to remove the obstacles often associated with database migration, such as operational risk and higher costs, so customers feel more comfortable moving to the HANA database.
“By removing these obstacles, we are making it easier for SAP Business Suite customers to supercharge their business dealings with the power of in-memory data management, whether deployed on-premise or through the SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud service,” said Bernd Welz, executive vice president and global head, Solution & Knowledge Packaging, SAP.
The migration project begins with an analysis of the database and version of the currently used SAP Business Suite.
It includes the installation and updates of the SAP HANA platform and the SAP NetWeaver platform to the latest version, and the update of the SAP ERP 6.0 or SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) 7.0 applications to the latest SAP®enhancement package: SAP enhancement package 7 for SAP ERP 6.0 and SAP enhancement package 3 for SAP CRM 7.0.
Lower releases of SAP Business Suite can also be addressed via the addition of an optional upgrade service.
