The New Zealand Government has signed an agreement with SAP New Zealand to offer the cloud-based SAP SuccessFactors Human Capital Management (HCM) Suite to its agencies.
Under the ICT Common Capability Cloud Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) Agreement, signed by the Department of Internal Affairs as the lead agency, agencies wishing to adopt the SuccessFactors suite to automate their HR processes from hire to retire will be able to do so without undergoing a full procurement process.
The HRIS solution will be hosted in Sydney, and provide a range of services including core HR, recruiting, onboarding, performance and goal management, learning management, compensation, succession and development, social collaboration, and workforce analytics and planning.
The New Zealand Government’s ICT Strategy mandates ‘cloud first’ technology adoption. The deal with SAP is expected to provide estimated cross-government savings of $5 million over a five-year period, in addition to “opportunities to simplify processes and reduce duplication of effort to procure solutions, negotiate and administer contracts, as well as ensure contract compliance”, a statement by the vendor said.
“With its ‘cloud first’ strategy for technology adoption, the New Zealand Government is not only demonstrating innovation in online-service design and delivery, but is delivering true value to its citizens,” said Graeme Riley, managing director, SAP New Zealand.
