SAP has appointed Suprakash Chaudhuri as managing director, SAP India & Subcontinent.
Chaudhuri has been acting in the role since mid-2012, following the resignation of previous MD Peter Gartenberg. He will be responsible for all market-facing activities, customer operations and sales, consulting, partner ecosystem expansion, and marketing.
“The SAP leadership team expressed great appreciation for the business and market leadership Suprakash provided as the acting MD for SAP India since Q32012,” said Steve Watts, president, SAP Asia-Pacific Japan.
“India with over 4900 customers has become one of the best performing businesses. Suprakash, in his new role as MD, will continue to drive SAP’s strategic innovation roadmap and shape and sustain our industry leadership position in India.”
