On the Move: FourPL appointment boosts supply chain and IT strategy

By Eleanor Reader

FourPL has appointed Chris Fechner to a customer advisory role focusing on supply chain and IT strategy and governance.

Fechner’s previous roles include CIO for Queensland Transport & Main Roads and overseeing the ICT program at Queensland Rail.

Anthony Hawkins, CEO, FourPL, said Fechner brings a customer CIO perspective to the business.

“Chris has shown great thought leadership in his work with QUT and also has experience that will be invaluable to our customers when looking at decisions of systems consolidation and on-premise vs cloud, having been a member of the Queensland Government panel,” he said.

Working with FourPL is a great opportunity to get across the leading edge of supply chain solutions, said Fechner.

“My long history in transport and logistics from both an operator’s and regulator’s perspective will bring an in-depth perspective on the customer side, enabling FourPL to better address CIO specific requirements. Above all, I am looking forward to sitting on the consultant’s side of the table to hone my commercial skills around negotiation, strategy, and executive engagement in preparation for my next CIO challenge,” he said.
