New Zealand 3D visual solutions and integration company, Nextspace, has appointed Ian Black as a director and Robert Simon as business development manager.
“These appointments reflect the growth of 3D visualisation opportunities in Australasia and support Nextspace’s strategic relationship with SAP Visual Enterprise,” said Nextspace chairman, Phil Norman.
Black has had significant experience as a CEO in the information technology industry across New Zealand, Australia, Asia and the UK.
From 2001 to 2009 he was CEO of various SAP subsidiaries in New Zealand and Asia, before taking up the position of COO for SAP ANZ. Prior to this appointment Black was VP of Strategic Industries and Accounts at SAP ANZ.
“Ian’s extensive ICT industry expertise will be invaluable to Nextspace’s governance,” said Norman.
He is currently CEO of Triplejump Group and holds a board advisory role for Soltius NZ. Black replaces Mark Thomas, who is standing down after five years as a Nextspace director, but will continue to have a relationship with the company in his global innovation role at SAP.
Simon’s role will focus on SAP Visual Enterprise solutions for local and Australian clients. He was previously general manager at CIBER and has held SAP Practice Lead roles at Hewlett-Packard and Capgemini NZ.
“Robert’s SAP enterprise experience will be key to growing partnerships with the local ecosystem and clients,” said Norman.
