On the Move: SAP ANZ appoints new head of marketing

SAP Australia and New Zealand has appointed former Unisys executive Jennifer Arnold as its new head of marketing.

Charged with leading SAP’s marketing activities in the region, Arnold will oversee all integrated, social and digital marketing programs, as well as corporate positioning, strategy, marketing campaigns and events.

At Unisys, Arnold held dual roles as global portfolio marketing director, end user services and mobility, and global consultant, end user portfolio advisory practice. During her nine years with the company, she also led the Asia-Pacific marketing team.

Prior to this, Arnold held senior communications roles with IBM Global Services and QBE Insurance Australia.

On the appointment, SAP ANZ president and managing director, Andrew Barkla, said Arnold has a proven track record of delivering results in the region.

“Combined with her strengths in lead generation and sales support strategies, I look forward to seeing Jennifer lead SAP’s marketing team to even greater heights so that it can continue executing on the campaigns and relationships so crucial for our business,” Barkla said.

Arnold took up her position on 4 May, and said it is an exciting time to be joining SAP ANZ.

“It’s a privilege to be joining such a well-established brand that continues to enjoy tremendous growth in Australia, New Zealand and across the globe. I’m looking forward to working with the team to drive further success through increased demand generation and greater engagement with clients, partners and prospects,” Arnold said.

SAP ANZ’s longstanding former head of marketing Ray Kloss, who also had responsibility for Asia Pacific Japan in in the last year, left the company to join Cisco as head of marketing in April.
