In order to assist large enterprises in migrating to the cloud and innovating their business processes, the long-standing SAP and Accenture partnership has recently been expanded with a new offering that integrates RISE with SAP and SOAR with Accenture.
The newly announced collaborative cloud offering is based on Accenture’s experience as one of the first large companies to operate its key financial operations processes on a single, global instance of SAP S/4HANA — a comprehensive enterprise resource planning (ERP) system with embedded intelligent technologies such as machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced analytics. According to the two tech giants’ statement, Accenture intends to implement the Business Transformation as a Service (BTaaS) offering RISE with SAP, supported by its own cloud services and customised for the particular requirements of its global IT business, in a bid to achieve meaningful outcomes, accelerate innovation, and increase agility.
Furthermore, the joint offering draws on SAP and Accenture’s long-standing alliance partnership, which dates back to over 40 years ago. It demonstrates the collective power of the industry-leading position of Accenture Cloud First with major cloud hyperscalers, as well as the expertise of the company’s pool of over 75,000 SAP software professionals.
SAP CEO and Executive Board Member Christian Klein said in a statement:
“SOAR with Accenture is a great complement to RISE with SAP, our cloud-based solution to drive business innovation. It enables enterprises with large and complex IT landscapes to accelerate and simplify their business transformation journey while benefitting from the full value of RISE with SAP.”
“Together, Accenture and SAP provide a comprehensive solution to support our customers in becoming intelligent and sustainable enterprises,” Klein emphasised.
Reinforcing the SAP and Accenture Partnership
It can be noted that Accenture is the biggest SAP partner to provide services that are fully focused on assisting large organisations across industries in the planning, implementation, and management of RISE with SAP in the cloud deployments. Combining RISE with SAP and SOAR with Accenture, the tech companies’ new cloud offering has been enhanced with additional features that encapsulate Accenture’s complete portfolio of transformation services, such as tailored cloud services and specialised intelligent technologies.
Commenting on the latest industry development, Accenture Chair and CEO Julie Sweet shared:
“The most successful companies will undergo total enterprise reinvention over the next decade, transforming every part of their business through technology, data and AI, and new ways of working and engaging with customers as well as new business models.”
“SAP and Accenture are now offering the ability for large enterprises to dramatically accelerate their transformations and new opportunities for growth,” Sweet added.
Using enterprise apps that can be modified to suit stringent guidelines, the solution created out of SAP and Accenture partnership aims to help large enterprises in establishing a clean core on SAP S/4HANA Cloud that can be integrated with other cloud-based services and products through SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). Accenture Chief Information Officer Penelope Prett explained that combining RISE with SAP and SOAR with Accenture guarantees that the company’s own SAP apps are running on the most recent versions of advanced technologies and are hosted in the cloud for more flexibility and scalability. She further remarked:
“The boost in predictability and efficiency allows our global IT organisation to focus on modernising our business applications and other activities that propel value and innovation across the enterprise.”
