In a recently expanded partnership aimed at expediting customers’ journey to the cloud, SAP BTP services will be combined with Kyndryl’s industry expertise in cyber resiliency, data, and artificial intelligence (AI).

Kyndryl, the American multinational IT infrastructure services firm that was spun off from IBM, has reinforced its cloud capabilities with the news of being SAP certified for global cloud and infrastructure operations in November 2021. The company received SAP certification in the following categories: SAP HANA operations, integration with SAP S/4HANA, and DevOps.

Furthermore, Kyndryl’s position as a Global Partner of the German enterprise software giant — which is intended to deliver SAP managed services to customers in over 60 countries including Australia, New Zealand, and Japan — continues to grow as the company strengthens its market presence across the globe. As part of its unrelenting commitment to assisting customers with their digital transformation initiatives, Kyndryl deepened its alliance with SAP this month.

The expanded collaboration will be primarily focused on building new solutions to assist customers in overcoming significant digital business issues. Commenting on the announcement, Kyndryl Global Head of SAP Strategic Partnership and Alliances Madhuri Chawla shared in a statement:

“We’re thrilled to continue strengthening our offerings together to provide our valued customers a full suite of digital services as their business needs and challenges continue to change.”

“As our customers embark on new and ongoing cloud transformation strategies, this joint effort allows us to streamline operations and enhance visibility across their mission-critical workloads at unprecedented speed and scale,” Chawla concluded.

Utilising SAP BTP Services and Kyndryl’s Tech Expertise

The extended collaboration will harness the power of SAP BTP services and Kyndryl’s extensive knowledge in AI, data, and cyber resiliency to streamline customers’ transition to the cloud using cost-effective methods. Under the agreement, Kyndryl will provide services that support the Business Transformation as a Service (BTaaS) signature cloud offering RISE with SAP with migration technologies and scalable solutions, modernisation tools, and AI-driven data analytics and management products.

Justin Battles, Global Vice President, Strategic Growth Partnerships, Partner Ecosystem Success at SAP, stated that SAP strategic partner Kyndryl contributes its extensive experience in technology integration and landscape management to the RISE with SAP program. He added:

“Our expanded partnership is paving the way for our customers to begin or advance their cloud transformation journey with RISE with SAP. This move confirms the value of RISE with SAP and the impact it can have on organisations, regardless of where the customer is in their cloud journey.”

Under the partnership, SAP and Kyndryl will work together on the following relevant enterprise resource planning (ERP) services and solutions:

  • Kyndryl data scientists and consultants are expected to assist organisations in updating their SAP software, from SAP Business Warehouse to SAP Data Warehouse Cloud. The services aim to provide cloud-based analytics to businesses across various industries including manufacturing, oil & gas, retail, telecommunications, and finance.
  • Modernisation and cloud integration services for the whole SAP software environment, including non-SAP technologies, to help businesses expedite their migration to RISE with SAP.
  • Kyndryl experts are set to assist customers in enabling the reliable recovery of an SAP software environment in the case of a cyberattack, allowing them to recover more swiftly.  While RISE with SAP aims to provide enterprise-level security, Kyndryl’s cyber resilience solutions complement RISE with SAP by delivering the enterprise-level protection required for today’s complex business systems.
