SAP launches global HANA community for customers

By Eleanor Reader

SAP and the SAP User Group Executive Network (SUGEN) have announced the launch of the SAP HANA International Focus Group, a global online community where customers and prospective customers can exchange experience and knowledge about the in-memory platform.

The focus group is targeted at IT and business executive members and is open to all SAP user group members and SAP customers.

Along with SAP and non-SAP customers wanting to learn more about HANA, the group also caters to SAP customers who have licensed to HANA bit are still relatively new or in the implementation process and SAP customers that are currently “live” on HANA.

Tonnie van der Horst, chairman, SUGEN, says the focus group will help customers learn more about SAP HANA and fine-tune their own road map and adoption strategy.

“The focus on strategy, direct customer feedback, valuable knowledge transfer, networking and co-innovation with SAP will bring added value to influencing product directions and future decisions and investments,” he said.

“SAP HANA has been built by and for our customers with very strong history of collaboration since inception,” said Vishal Sikka, member of the Executive Board of SAP AG, Technology and Innovation.

“We are excited to continue to shape this rapidly growing platform in new directions and pave the way to innovation for our customers without disrupting their business.”
