SAP used its SuccessConnect event, held this week in Las Vegas, to announce it would be launching an open hub providing a directory of partner software offerings that can be connected with the SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite.

The SAP SuccessFactors app centre will feature over 100 partners at launch, including ADP Added Value Services, Benefitfocus, Castlight, Dell Boomi, DocuSign, First Advantage, Limeade and WorkForce Software.

As well giving customers easy access to partner applications integrated with SuccessFactors solutions, SAP said the app centre is also designed to encourage developers to create add-on offerings in the HR space, now that there is a readily available marketplace for applications of this kind.

“In my view, with the pace of digitalisation today, no one company will ever own all the innovation possible in the world around us,” said Mike Ettling, president of SAP SuccessFactors. “The SAP SuccessFactors app centre will give our clients access to innovative apps we and our partners create, and it also provides a compelling reason for millions of developers out there to innovate and build HR apps that talk to our platform and support our clients.”

CipherCloud provides one of the apps which will be featured on the new app centre, and Dev Ghosal, senior vice president of global alliances and customer success, said, “CipherCloud has worked closely with SAP SuccessFactors to provide enhanced security and encryption key management for its customers. We are pleased that we will be featured on the SAP SuccessFactors app centre so customers and prospects can learn more about CipherCloud and our enhanced encryption capabilities.”

The app centre will be officially released in Q4 2016, but a preview is available at www.successfactors.com/appcenter.
