SAP is teaming up with Thrive Global to help reduce stress and burnout and to drive greater job satisfaction, engagement and productivity for SAP’s North American employees and the 45 million users of SAP SuccessFactors solutions.

Thrive Global is a health, wellbeing and productivity platform just launched by Arianna Huffington, co-founder of The Huffington Post.
SAP will integrate content from Thrive Global into SAP SuccessFactors solutions, providing organisations with complimentary access to science-based health and wellbeing resources such as corporate training, health and wellness content and a retail platform featuring top technology and wellbeing products.

“Nothing is more valuable to a business than having a healthy, happy and inspired workforce,” said Jennifer Morgan, president, SAP North America. “SAP puts people first, and we are committed to providing wellness resources to help achieve and maintain optimal health.”

“High stress and burnout in today’s culture have reached epidemic levels,” said Huffington, founder and CEO, Thrive Global. “I’m thrilled to count SAP as an important founding partner to Thrive Global in our movement to empower people to thrive at work,” she said.

The Thrive Global content extends existing SAP SuccessFactors offerings, while additional planned initiatives will enable employees to use wearable devices and benefit from the incorporation of competition and gamification concepts that drive participation.

Organisational investments in employee health and wellness initiatives have increased significantly in recent years, following studies linking improved workforce health to higher levels of employee engagement, retention and productivity. However, healthcare and absenteeism costs continue to be on the rise, with absenteeism costs estimated to exceed US$225 billion annually in America alone.
