SAP releases Operational Headcount Planning

By Eleanor Reader

SAP has announced the general availability of SAP Operational Headcount Planning, the second rapid-deployment solution of 2013 in the HR Planning and Analytics space.

The solution aligns workforce plans with financial budgets to reduce the amount of time spend on budgeting and improves the accuracy of the budget by providing integrated process for all stakeholders.

Operational Headcount Planning was developed after SAP spoke to a number of organisations and discovered that headcount and cost planning processes are often still Excel-based exercises that result in unreliable information.

“Salary and headcount planning takes place in every organisation and is an integral part of the integrated business plan,” said an SAP spokesperson.

“This is often a cumbersome, manual and disconnected effort. Business managers need a standard process, executives need deep insight, and finance needs the real costs.”

The solution is built on the SAP Business Planning and Consolidation Platform, running on top of NetWeaver BW.
