SAP has announced the first SAP Growth Forum for Emerging Companies, to be held in October 2013.
The first of its kind in Australia, the forum aims to support local, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with business transformation plans to boost innovation, strengthen customer relationships, improve agility and expand their businesses.
A recent report completed by Oxford Economics on behalf of SAP revealed that 65 per cent of Australian SMEs have either completed, are in the process of or about to begin a significant business transformation.
Furthermore, 62 per cent will invest in technology where there is a clear return on investment.
The forum will focus on four main areas; growth, mobile, big data and analytics, exploring how technology can be used to transform and grow business for SMEs in Australia.
Speakers include Matt Rockman, co-founder of seek.com.au, Brad Howarth, co-author of A Faster Future: The future of Broadband and what it means for business, society and you and Jonathan Pain, director at JP Consulting and Finance and Economic Futurist.
It will be held in Melbourne on October 15 and in Sydney on October 24.
