SAP introduced the Klaus Tschira Human Resources Innovation Award in August 2016 in honor of the late Klaus Tschira, a cofounder of SAP who had a vision for how SAP technology could revolutionise human resource and business. It is an annual program that recognises SAP partners and customers who have contributed a unique and innovative solution in the HR field.

Tec de Monterrey, Mexico’s institute of technology and higher education, has received the 2019 Klaus Tschira HR Innovation Award during the SuccessConnect Las Vegas held last 16-18 September.

Greg Tomb, President of SAP SuccessFactors, congratulated the team behind the private university that is known to support Mexico’s economic and social development through research, knowledge transfer models and technology. He said:

“Tec de Monterrey is an innovator in employee experience, and I look forward to presenting this award to recognize the university’s excellence in HR. SAP is committed to helping organizations like Tec de Monterrey bring its employees the best possible work experiences, and we look forward to many years of continued partnership and innovation.”

In 2014, the institution started its HR transformation with SAP SuccessFactors solutions to roll out one unified culture and set of standards and processes. In no time, Tec de Monterrey has seen the impact of the technologies in its processes such as the ability to seamlessly offer employees new career and development opportunities across the organization.

One of the top priorities of the university is to provide a leading employee experience. As a new offering in its employee programs and services, employees can now take advantage of the consumer-grade technology experiences to meditation areas and nap rooms in the office. The innovation aims to provide an aspirational work environment that promotes entrepreneurism and collaboration.

Furthermore, to help ensure that the university’s mission of providing the best employee experience is realised, Tec de Monterrey has implemented survey capabilities in Experience Management solutions from Qualtrics. The survey platform will provide actionable, ongoing employee insights.

Hernan Garcia, CEEO (Chief Employee Experience Officer) of Tec de Monterrey shared the organisation’s relentless commitment to bringing the very best technology, experience, and culture to its employees. She explained:

“Cloud-based SAP SuccessFactors solutions have played an integral role in our employee experience journey, serving 31,000 employees in 26 cities. We are honored to be the recipient of the Klaus Tschira HR Innovation Award and look forward to our continued partnership to help us continue to deliver meaningful experiences for our employees.”

Tec de Monterrey takes pride in 41{8bf2b29f36318f0ac46ab1cc03d7035abce669a1cea16c9ed62389a818fa22fd} of its graduates who became entrepreneurs with new companies that bring in nearly 3 million jobs. With the help of SAP SuccessFactors, the institution has listed a number of goals to accomplish, which includes moving to a zero-paper process, offering employees the flexibility to work anywhere and have multiple jobs, and streamlining complex payroll processes.

Garcia accepted 2019 Klaus Tschira HR Innovation Award during the keynote last 17 September.
