As a new RISE with SAP customer, British technology and electric trucks company Tevva will implement the SAP solution to improve its core IT processes.
Hydrogen-electric vehicles are seen as a key part of sustainable transportation, as they produce zero emissions and have the potential to be powered by renewable energy sources. The investments of British truck manufacturer Tevva in the latest cutting-edge technologies and solutions reflect its commitment to sustainability and its dedication to meeting the needs of its customers.
In a milestone for British manufacturing, the first series production electric truck from Tevva rolled off the assembly line last September. The all-electric 7.5-tonne truck is the first in a planned range of commercial vehicles that Tevva aims to bring to market over the next few years. The company says its trucks will offer a significantly lower total cost of ownership than equivalent diesel vehicles.
Tevva Chief Executive Officer and Founder Asher Bennett earlier stated that the company’s battery and dual-energy vehicles will revolutionize the transportation industry and aid in the achievement of net-zero emission goals by both businesses and governments. He went on to say that Tevva is thrilled that Kinaxia Logistics is on board with its mission and supports its goal of reducing carbon emissions from the transportation sector.
In yet another significant industry development, Tevva has recently been unveiled as a new addition to the RISE with SAP customer list. The move comes as it aims to continue transforming its IT environment and supporting the creation of the United Kingdom’s first hydrogen-electric vehicle. Furthermore, the digital transformation project will help the company meet the growing demand for environmentally-friendly transportation solutions while also reducing its own emissions footprint.
By using the German tech giant’s Business Transformation as a Service (BTaaS) cloud offering, Tevva will be able to improve its operational efficiency and better serve its customers. To make sure its IT infrastructure is in sync with product demand, the truck manufacturer will incorporate RISE with SAP S/4HANA Cloud into its core processes.
Tevva’s ongoing investment in infrastructure development has included taking into account the necessity of quick expansion in order to fulfill market demands. As such, it will leverage “Grow with SAP” – a cloud business transformation offering for hypergrowth enterprises. The Software as a Service (SaaS) solution and partnership package encompassing marketing, talent, funding, and initial public offering (IPO), as well as growth hacking will help drive Tevva’s transformation in the most efficient and sustainable manner imaginable.
“Grow with SAP is the accelerator program for fast growth scale-ups. As a true strategic partner, SAP will provide Tevva with advanced supply chain, procurement, finance and accounting, helping the business to expand its footprint in the most sustainable way possible,” SAP EMEA North Head Umar Khan shared.
Driving Growth as a New SAP Customer
According to Tevva, they have been able to establish deeper connections between each component of the business, ensuring the company’s continued expansion, thanks to the recent implementation of the scalable RISE with SAP solution that is hosted on a cloud-based infrastructure platform provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS).
“Our partnership with Tevva is one we’re extremely excited about. It is a company that shares the same values and vision as ourselves, that a sustainable, zero-emissions future is very possible and collaborations like this are critical to achieving that goal. They’re the first electric hydrogen vehicle manufacturer to embrace RISE with SAP, recognising just how critical investment in technology is for the future,” Khan further said.
RISE with SAP continues to gain traction throughout the world, with businesses of all sizes and in a wide range of industries and fields embracing the solution. An increasing number of businesses in the United Kingdom are subscribing to the cloud service in order to modernize their enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and improve the efficiency with which their various systems work together.
Moreover, the German enterprise software giant is providing Tevva with the ability to streamline its IT estate and fully capitalize on the advantages offered by the cloud. It has been decided to implement SAP S/4HANA Cloud throughout the whole production, procurement, financial, and supply chain operations, which is anticipated to result in an approved modernization process.
“At Tevva we’ve worked hard to deliver a product that is sustainable, scalable, and fit for the future. We firmly believe that the post-fossil fuel future, which is quickly approaching, will see a new range of technologies and fuels take center stage in the transport industry. But it was only right that to support the development of this that we examined what we had in place and understood what might be possible to bolster our rapid growth. SAP has, no doubt, helped with our expansion and we have certainly benefitted from its input and innovation,” Bennett explained.
