A drive by customers towards digital services has led Bluefin Solutions to begin offering its clients access to SAP S/4HANA in the public cloud.

The offering provides customers with full access to a vast range of SAP products when moving to SAP S/4HANA, from the flexible, on-premise version of SAP S/4HANA to the subscription-based S/4HANA Cloud.

Bluefin is one of only a handful of partners in the UK, Germany and the USA to have been selected by SAP to join the lighthouse reference program.

Bluefin itself has recently begun the move to SAP S/4HANA in the public cloud.

James Appleby, Bluefin CEO, said, “As our business model adjusts to reflect our clients’ needs for increasingly digital-centric service, we need a digital core that enables us to run our business in real time. Having built a sophisticated set of systems over 14 years, Bluefin recognises that it is time for us to re-innovate and re-imagine our future. SAP S/4 HANA is critical to enabling the real-time business, and will enable us to lead, manage and run our business much more effectively.”

Being on the lighthouse reference program, Bluefin will assist in shaping the future direction of SAP S/4HANA Cloud alongside the SAP product team.

Ross Wainwright, global head of SAP S/4HANA Cloud at SAP, said, “Bluefin has been a leading SAP partner for nine years, and this new focus on SAP S/4HANA Cloud is a natural extension to its offerings. As we continue to see midsize and large organisations rapidly move their ERP platforms to the cloud to accelerate their digital transformation strategies, partners like Bluefin will be critical in assisting clients with business process analysis, project planning and deployment support.”

Bluefin was one of the first companies to go to market with a SAP HANA practice in 2011, and was acquired by Mindtree in 2015. Earlier this month, Bluefin was awarded SAP Gold Partner status.
