SAP Gold Partner DyFlex Solutions developed the new cloud ERP software to support the surging renewable energy market as well as provide job opportunities to Australians.

The Australian Energy Statistics, the authoritative and official source of energy statistics for Australia, has revealed remarkable achievements in the country’s energy consumption, particularly in the use of renewable sources. The report stated that Australia’s economic growth over the recent decades demonstrated improvements in energy efficiencies and productivity with the use of renewables, for instance, instead of fossil fuels for electricity generation. The updated 2020 report stated that the country’s renewable generation grew in 2019, achieving a 21 per cent share of total electricity generation with Solar PV driving growth– a respectable accomplishment since the completion of the Snowy Mountains hydroelectric scheme in the mid-1970s.

Acknowledging the country’s marked increase in renewable energy generation, Perth-based DyFlex Solutions has developed DyFlex Green Energy Solutions, software specifically designed for businesses in the renewable energy industry. As a fully-integrated platform, the new solution is designed to help organisations manage a range of business operations including human resources, inventory, finances, supply chain, logistics, and reporting.

Bespoke Cloud ERP Software

SAP Business ByDesign, a cloud-based ERP solution that connects every function across an organisation to time-tested best practices and in-depth analytics, powers DyFlex Green Energy Solutions. It provides fast-growing, mid-market businesses the foundation to scale and compete without the complexity and cost. Now, the latest ERP solution from DyFlex tailor-made for the renewables sector not only backs businesses in the renewable energy sector and Australia’s position in the clean energy revolution but also offers job opportunities for the locals.

Sharing the rationale behind developing the latest DyFlex Green Energy Solutions, DyFlex Managing Director Peter Lander said:

“The future of energy is clean and Australia has the opportunity to lead the world – all while delivering a sustainable economic boom and creating local jobs. This is why we have developed software specifically designed to support businesses within the renewables industry. We are doing our part to drive a fast-growing industry that will deliver jobs and strong economic growth for Australia.”

“Unlike other industry transitions such as automotive manufacturing and steel smelting, which saw many jobs move offshore, the transition to renewable energy can actually create jobs in Australia”, he added.

According to the University of Technology Sydney’s Institute for Sustainable Futures, the renewable energy industry is forecasted to create 20,000 new jobs over the next five years.

DyFlex and SAP Driving Sustainability

A long-term key supplier to Australia’s natural resources sector, DyFlex Solutions’ new platform coupled with the company’s expertise in the renewables industry will further help businesses modernise business processes and tackle new challenges. Along the same lines, DyFlex’s software ERP partner SAP also supports enterprises in the renewable energy industry with sustainable, intelligent solutions.

SAP enabled AGL Energy’s modernisation project with cloud-based solutions SAP S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, and SAP Ariba. SDE Mexico, an importer and distributor of solar panels, tapped the German software giant and deployed SAP Business One solution to streamline operations across its four headquarters, enabling the company to take advantage of the booming renewables market.

Moreover, SAP has already shifted to 100{8bf2b29f36318f0ac46ab1cc03d7035abce669a1cea16c9ed62389a818fa22fd} renewable energy in all its data centers and facilities, which reflects the company’s commitment to making its operations more sustainable and to becoming carbon-neutral by 2025. SAP is one of the early members of RE100, a collaborative, global initiative uniting more than 100 influential businesses committed to 100{8bf2b29f36318f0ac46ab1cc03d7035abce669a1cea16c9ed62389a818fa22fd} renewable electricity.
