Geographe Enterprises, a leading provider of technical and commercial solutions to the mining and resource industries, will be the first customer in Western Australia, and the first manufacturing customer in Australia and New Zealand, to deploy SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

Geographe has been a long-standing SAP customer, and will again with long-time partner NTT DATA on the implementation, which is planned to go live in early 2018.

“Technology underpins everything we do at Geographe, and in the past few years, we have truly transformed our business systems, enabling us to operate more efficiently as we scale,” said Sam Hyder, chief executive officer, Geographe Enterprises. “With SAP S/4HANA Cloud, we hope to build on the success we’ve seen to date. This is an exciting opportunity for us to add value for our customers and further transform our user experience.”

Geography previously adopted the cloud-based Ariba Network to transact with its customers globally, enabling 45 per cent catalog growth since 2010, and a 30 per cent increase in orders delivered in full and on time.

“Geographe has been using SAP software since 2001, bedding down its system to create a stable and efficient operating environment. The move to SAP S/4HANA Cloud from SAP ERP on-premise will provide greater flexibility, real-time analytics and broader scope of functionality at a low operating cost,” said Nick Binns, managing director, Australia, NTT DATA Business Solutions.
