Microsoft Completes SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Implementation

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central is one of the HR solutions that Microsoft implemented to provide a consistent employee experience for its global workforce.

Microsoft has been embarking on an HR transformation journey not only to have better visibility and understanding of its people’s behaviors, pain points, and motivations but also to build an effective talent pool. Not surprisingly, the multinational technology company tapped its longstanding and synergistic partner SAP to accomplish the goal of modernising its HR processes.

Recently, Microsoft has achieved a milestone in its Human Resources department with the successful completion of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central implementation in 109 countries. Running on Microsoft Azure, the SAP SuccessFactors solution is now the single HR platform for the software giant’s 140,000 employees.

Explaining the HR strategy, Rajamma Krishnamurthy, Senior Director of HR Technology at Microsoft said:

“As we continue Microsoft’s HR transformation journey, it’s been critical to have a cloud platform that can adapt and grow with our needs, especially as the needs of the workforce change. In fact, we completed the implementation of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central in more than 90 countries in a completely virtual environment due to the global pandemic by adopting an agile approach. Moving forward, SAP will continue to be a critical partner in helping use data to design engaging, inclusive experiences for all of our global employees.”

SAP SuccessFactors Human Experience Management (HXM) Suite was selected as the go-to solution that enabled Microsoft’s HR operations, which has been relying on the on-premise SAP ERP Human Capital Management solution for decades, to move to the cloud. The HXM suite fulfilled the software enterprise’s requirement for a cloud platform that could deliver on its mobile-first, cloud-first philosophy and provide a foundation for succeeding transformations.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Simplifying HR

SAP SuccessFactors HXM suite including SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding, SAP SuccessFactors Learning, SAP SuccessFactors Succession & Development, and now SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, simplified and unified Microsoft’s HR processes.
