PwC’s unique Business, Experience, and Technology (BXT) consulting approach centred on supporting and monitoring its customers’ transformation journey complements SAP’s comprehensive RISE offering that champions an innovative, sustainable, and value-driven move to the cloud.
Embracing RISE with SAP
Commenting about PwC embracing RISE with SAP, Michael Rasch, Partner at PwC Germany and Global SAP Leader, said in March:
“Transformation is no longer a process that has a beginning and an end. It is ongoing. We are beyond thinking in terms of infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) or software-as-a-service (SaaS). It’s now about business transformation-as-a-service. By supplementing SAP’s core tools, our goal is to accelerate our clients’ projects and help them meet their tight deadlines without losing sight of the overall goal.”
With RISE with SAP, PwC has further strengthened its business transformation approach that is focussed on lowering the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of cloud migrations. One of the organisations that have recently sought the consultancy firm’s expertise in business transformation is ElectraMeccanica Vehicles Corp., a designer and manufacturer of electric vehicles from Canada. ElectraMeccanica is the creator of SOLO, an innovative, three-wheeled, single-seat electric vehicle (EV).
Acknowledging the EV car manufacturer’s business transformation as a milestone in the advancement of the automotive industry, Greg Petraetis, SAP Managing Director, Midmarket and Partner Ecosystem expressed:
“ElectraMeccanica’s vision for its SOLO EV model will require operational excellence and end-to-end process efficiency – two areas SAP is determined to help support through innovation and partnership.”
PwC Canada Enabling ElectraMeccanica’s Business Transformation
Leveraging RISE with SAP, PwC Canada backed the ElectraMeccanica’s successful migration to SAP S/4HANA Cloud, enabling the integration of the Canadian car manufacturer’s key business processes such as finance, manufacturing, and sales as well as supply chain and distribution operations. SAP S/4HANA Cloud’s first instance went live this month in time for the company’s transition into a commercial enterprise.
Sharing about the business transformation strategy in partnership with PwC, Kevin Pavlov, CEO of ElectraMeccanica, commented:
“SAP S/4HANA Cloud is the technology foundation that will enable us to manage rapid growth for years to come, enabling an unparalleled level of insight into our vehicle assembly operations.”
“We would like to thank PwC for their assistance in choosing the best platform to meet our unique needs. The implementation of this comprehensive system will best position ElectraMeccanica to scale operations, future-proof our business, and obtain critical feedback to empower more informed operational decisions. We look forward to closely working with the team at PwC to improve operational efficiency firm-wide as we ramp production to meet the strong demand of our SOLO vehicles,” he added.
SAP S/4HANA Cloud was selected to propel the growth and go-to-market strategy of ElectraMeccanica in delivering EVs on a global scale. The Software as a Service (SaaS) edition of S/4HANA was implemented as the digital foundation of the enterprise, utilising automotive industry capabilities and best practices. SAP S/4HANA Cloud is a complete ERP system with built-in intelligent technologies such as AI, machine learning, RPA, and advanced analytics that empower organisations to manage business transformation at speed.
Jason Bergeron, Partner, Consulting and Deals, PwC Canada, expressed that the global consultancy supports ElectraMeccanica’s vision of being a digital-first OEM vehicle producer. He said:
“ElectraMeccanica is bringing to market the future of transportation and PwC’s team of experts will bring the digital technology required to scale and enable their long-term success.”
