SAP, the global leader in enterprise software solutions, has recently revealed the recipients of its highly coveted 2023 SAP Customer Success Awards for the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The 2023 SAP Customer Success Awards acknowledged the significant role played by the most innovative and transformative companies in today’s disruptive economy. The honorees were recognized for their outstanding achievements in areas such as sustainability, diversity, customer service, and operational efficiency, which have helped them to drive their businesses forward and make a meaningful impact in their respective communities.

Held at the iconic Science Museum in London on March 23rd, the awards ceremony celebrated the remarkable accomplishments of forward-thinking businesses and individuals who have leveraged the latest SAP cloud technologies to drive positive environmental, economic, and social impact. Winners of the awards were selected from a pool of highly competitive candidates, and the ceremony provided a platform for them to showcase their exceptional work and share their inspiring stories.

Ryan Poggi, who was appointed as the Managing Director of SAP UKI last February, believes that innovation is built on a foundation of collaboration, especially in difficult situations. He added:

“As the world grapples with unprecedented challenges, it makes me immensely proud that our customers in the UKI are at the forefront of driving innovation, transformation, and environmental impact on a global scale.”

Also commenting on the recently held SAP Customer Success Awards for UKI, Poggi said that SAP lives its purpose through its customers and partners. He further shared:

“These stories inspire and motivate us to deliver on our promise and drive trusted partnerships. Congratulations to all our winners and finalists, and a big thank you to our judges for their continued support.”

Winners of the SAP Customer Success Awards

The Royal Mail Group was awarded the Adoption Champion award for creating an application called the PeopleApp, which has been downloaded and used by over 110,000 employees (82% of the RMG workforce) on their personal devices. The app provides direct access to personal information and business services, and has allowed for a new channel of engagement with employees. It has transformed the employee experience, making it more efficient and has become the ‘channel of choice’ for employee engagement. The app’s success of the PeopleApp is attributed to the speed and flexibility of SAP Business Technology Platform.

Meanwhile, Yorkshire Water Services received the Business Innovator award for its successful transition to SAP S/4HANA. This migration allowed them to centralize their work management and access vital information in real-time with data insights from SAP Plant Maintenance & Asset Management and SAP Dynamic Forms on SAP Business Technology Platform, as well as hand-held devices. By modernizing with SAP technology, Yorkshire Water Services has also benefitted from increased efficiency and customer satisfaction, reduced total cost of ownership, and simplified the rollout of innovations. With these successes, they are able to provide safe water services to an ever-expanding customer base.

Sanctuary Group, on the other hand, has been awarded the Cutting-Edge Genius award. The company faced challenges in accessing and managing its data, leading to delays in maintenance processes that negatively impacted customers. By utilizing SAP Business Technology Platform and other SAP technologies, Sanctuary Group is further leaning towards a holistic view of its customers and asset management in real-time. Additionally, with the implementation of SAP Field Service Management, the organization can now provide customers with immediate feedback, resulting in faster and higher quality incident resolution.
