Just recently, UiPath, a global software company based in New York, USA, became the first robotic process automation vendor to receive an SAP certification for automations at the API level.
Press release distributor, Business Wire, reported in an article published on the 16th of December that two of UiPath’s SAP Automations received SAP-certified integrations with technologies, SAP NetWeaver and SAP S/4 HANA. UiPath is a leading enterprise company based in New York. They specialise in developing a platform for RPA and incorporating technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). Last year, UiPath worked in partnership with DXC Technology, an American multinational corporation that specialises in B2B IT services when the latter launched a new digital platform that leveraged technologies like AI, cloud and robotic automation process.
UiPath has built a reputation in the industry as the top robotic process automation vendor after receiving awards for their RPA software. The NY-based RPA vendor received recognition for being the top 1 company on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 for this year, a ranking that honors the fastest-growing private and public tech companies in North America. The UiPath robotic process automation software also landed them third place on the 2019 Forbes Cloud 100 list which recognises the best private cloud companies worldwide.
The successful integrations will benefit businesses that leverage SAP solutions in automating their processes using SAP Business API (SAP BAPI) in a much simpler and easier way. With this, customers will be able to speed up their digital transformation, implement easier migrations and automate their critical business operations.
The SAP API Automations by UiPath lets enterprises use software robots to automate SAP processes using SAP’s dedicated business API. This process is intuitive, especially for RPA developers. The integration of robots directly with the SAP API is helpful for businesses in making standardised and robust automations despite the possibility of changes, such as enhancements and upgrades, that may impact the SAP UI. Some of the processes that are covered by the business API automations include invoice verification, sales order input, master data updates and many others.
Param Kahlon, the Chief Product Officer at UiPath, shared that businesses are launching RPA to help automate the tedious back office processes in the finance, human resource and supply chain departments. He added:

This SAP certification is expected to boost the company’s ability to deliver faster services for customers, both in private companies and government organisations, in helping them automate the repetitive tasks for increased efficiency and productivity.
UiPath’s SAP API Automation 2 received certification for SAP ERP and SAP S/4 HANA on-premise integrations from the SAP Integration and Certification Centre (SAP ICC).
