Enterprises wanting to accelerate the process of transitioning to the cloud can benefit from the new services delivered by Lemongrass and SAP. The two tech companies’ combined capabilities are expected to make customers’ cloud migration more efficient.
New offerings were unveiled at the recently concluded SAP Sapphire 2022 — the German enterprise software giant’s premier conference for customers and partners. The three-day reimagined hybrid series featured numerous cloud and product innovations across different categories such as no-code application development domains, business process transformation, sustainability, and supply chain. One of these product launches includes Lemongrass’ latest services for organisations operating their business-critical systems with SAP.
Customers of SAP all over the world have been speeding up the transformation strategies they have been implementing not only to keep up with the rapidly-evolving digital economy but also to ensure that their businesses will continue to function at their optimal level until the end of support for the legacy SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems in 2027. SAP users have been encouraged to look more broadly at digitalisation and the utilisation of cloud-native data services including the Business Transformation as a Service (BTaaS) signature offering RISE with SAP as a result of the impending deadline.
Building on its position as a market leader in the areas of planning, operation, migration, and automation of SAP solutions in the cloud, Lemongrass’ new services aim to expedite the process of migrating SAP customers to the Cloud, deliver solutions for complying to the SAP S/4HANA migration timelines, and enhance the RISE with SAP solution. Explaining more about the latest offerings, the company’s Chief Technology Officer Eamonn O’Neill explained:
“Our approach with these offerings is to help SAP users make a smooth transition to the cloud while enabling all the best capabilities that the top cloud providers have to offer. Once an SAP user decides that a move to the cloud is right for them, Lemongrass is the only partner they will need.”
Accelerating Cloud Migration with Lemongrass and SAP
Lemongrass, which has its headquarters in Atlanta, provides a portfolio of services that is intended to deliver the desired results from an SAP transformation. Additionally, the company develops strategies and capabilities that help the economics, scale, and agility of hyper-scale computing without having to sacrifice data security. The consultancy firm — which is a leading SAP on Amazon Web Services (AWS) service provider — presently manages more than 8,000 SAP servers and provides support for about 400,000 users across the Americas, EMEA, and the Asia Pacific.
Some of the highlights of the new products offered by Lemongrass are as follows:
- Lemongrass SAP Analytics Accelerator – For customers using or wanting to use Snowflake, Synapse, BigQuery, and Redshift, Lemongrass reconstructs SAP database systems in these platforms to simplify data mobility. The purpose is to provide self-service ML and AI for corporate users.
- Lemongrass SAP RISE+ – The consulting firm will construct sibling virtual private clouds (VPCs) for non-RISE with SAP applications. Lemongrass will operate non-RISE apps and give SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) integration mapping. In addition to categorising non-RISE apps, an integrated migration method is provided with a supported assessment.
- Lemongrass SAP S/4HANA Express Labs – SAP S/4HANA Express Labs is a laboratory with a management tooling and landing zone that lets SAP customers test their ERP systems in a live public cloud environment.
- Lemongrass SAP S/4HANA Greenfield – The company aims to offer customers a cost-effective production-ready landscape for the most recent version of SAP S/4HANA, complete with full monitoring, security, and operational support services.
Last March, Lemongrass and Microsoft also announced the establishment of a multi-year partnership aimed at assisting big and middle-sized enterprises in the process of transforming their legacy SAP environments. The companies’ collaboration seeks to facilitate the co-development of SAP-centric products and services that leverage the capabilities of Microsoft’s cloud computing platform.
