The Questionmark On-the-Fly, Real-Time Translation Tool is an example of the progressive Questionmark and SAP product innovation partnership that has been creating a benchmark in the IT certification industry.

IT Certification Council (ITCC), a nonprofit organisation focussed on advancing professional IT certifications, has recently awarded SAP and Questionmark as the winner of ITCC 2022 Innovation Award held during the organisation’s Spring Member Meeting last 20th of March. The Innovation Awards recognises thought leaders in the IT certification industry that have demonstrated groundbreaking initiatives on testing, processes, or service.

Boasting a network of 50 of the most esteemed companies in the IT certification industry, ITCC intends to drive innovation to the sector and its member companies by sharing best practices including the secured delivery of IT exams. Through the annual Innovation Awards, the organisation is able to feature success stories that highlight the impact of increasing the security of testing, new evaluation methods, and enhanced market access to certification programs, among others.

The Winning Questionmark – SAP Product Collaboration

The Questionmark On-the-Fly, Real-Time Translation Tool developed by SAP and Questionmark won the ITCC 2022 Innovation Award based on the evaluation of ITCC members, past winners, and finalists as well as the ITCC Board of Directors. The enterprise software giant and SAP Platinum Partner Questionmark have created an innovative way to foster inclusivity in assessment programs by supporting non-native speakers taking certification exams. The product innovation accelerates the delivery of new assessment content by utilising machine translation as needed during an exam.

“What SAP and Questionmark have developed to enhance support for non-native English speakers is truly remarkable and innovative. The On-The-Fly Real-Time Translation Tool enables them to extend exam availability to multiple language speakers on day one while saving program time and money. This is a great solution and well-deserving of the ITCC Innovation award,” stressed Jedi Hammond, ITCC Chair.

Running on its eighth year, the ITCC Innovation Award assesses winners based on several criteria including implementation of innovative tests, processes, or services within the recent two years. The innovative solution must also create value for one or more stakeholders within the IT certification and testing industry such as increased security of a test and enhanced respect and demand for certified professionals. Some of the past winners are Certiverse, HPE, IBM, and the Linux Foundation.

In 2018, SAP has also won the Innovation Award against equally competent contenders for the innovative use of Agile development within a certification program. Accelerating digital transformation for its stakeholders, the German tech giant implemented an agile cloud exam development and delivery, which resulted in a significant increase in speed of production and release of SAP Global Certification exams. In addition, examinees are allowed access to certification exams 24-7.
