Several new initiatives to help SAP Partners in successfully adopting cloud solutions and advancing their digital transformation journeys have recently been unveiled by SAP.
By delivering the resources needed to better equip partners’ businesses and customers, the new offerings extend SAP’s key priority of supporting SAP Partners in their journeys to becoming intelligent enterprises.
Highlighting the software giant’s commitment to driving partner success, SAP Chief Partner Officer Karl Fahrbach stated in the announcement:
“We remain committed to helping our partners and customers easily access the tools they need to move to the cloud, advance their digital transformations and adapt to remote work environments.”
SAP said that it plans to decrease subscription prices for its demonstration and test environment licenses significantly. New information channels will also be added to the SAP for Me portal — an online platform partners utilise to improve productivity and support customer engagement. Furthermore, new programs to help partners embrace solutions and successfully manage processes through the SAP Business Technology Platform have also been made available.
“SAP partners remain critical in driving successful cloud adoption. This suite of new offerings, particularly the test and demo environments for our cloud solutions, is designed to continue to lower the barriers for partners and customers to move to the cloud and support their journeys to becoming intelligent enterprises,” Fahrbach stressed.
SAP Partners Get Free Access to Demo and Test Environment
In addition to over 350 offline demonstration scenarios currently available, SAP has launched 18 more live scenarios depicting the value of the intelligent enterprise. The company has been granting partners free access to SAP Partner Demo Environment, shared option — a preconfigured, integrated software demonstration platform to promote sales conversations — since June 2020.
The software giant has also announced that it will decrease subscription prices significantly for dedicated demonstration and test tenants for the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central solution and the SAP Digital Supply Chain portfolio. Throughout 2021, SAP plans to add further cloud-based solutions to this initiative where partners can allot their market development funds for demo and test licenses.
SAP Business Technology Platform
In December 2020, a free tier model for SAP Extension Suite and SAP Integration Suite was announced at the SAP TechEd event. The previously mentioned test and demo offerings extend to these suites powering SAP Business Technology Platform. This free tier model is expected to be released later in 2021.
Moreover, a new pay-as-you-go option is set to provide flexible access to demonstration, test, and development licensing services for SAP Extension Suite and SAP Integration Suite. The consumption-based model, which calls for partners to pay for the services they only use, will be made available later in 2021. The pay-as-you-go option has a contract runtime of only three months and requires no up-front payment.
SAP for Me
SAP for Me — a digital companion for partners — helps improve productivity, provides support and guidance for extensive customer engagement, and delivers relevant information for actionable insights. Members of the SAP PartnerEdge program can now make use of the platform’s new functionalities such as automated reporting elements and dynamic cards for sales professionals.
Additional insight views including cloud product implementation, customer projects, consultant certification, membership and program data, and business planning will be available throughout 2021.
SAP Learning Hub Edition Tailored for SAP Partners
Following the launch of SAP Learning Hub, partner edition, SAP has been expanding its certification programs and training courses for its cloud solutions. Tailored exclusively to support SAP PartnerEdge program members, the partner edition is the first all-inclusive SAP Learning Hub solution to combine all product learning tools.
This new offering includes access to partner-specific digital enablement content and provides live training systems to help partners prepare for their SAP Global Certification exams. The partner edition of SAP Learning Hub helps partners stay up-to-date with the latest SAP technologies and further equips them with the enablement resources needed to drive customer success.
