PwC Switzerland is actively pursuing an expansion strategy by acquiring Avoras, a well-known provider of SAP-enabled business transformation services to the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry.
The latest acquisition will allow PwC Switzerland to extend its existing services portfolio, providing added value to its clients in the sector striving for digital transformation and long-term sustainability. Furthermore, the move is expected to be mutually beneficial as both PwC Switzerland and Avoras have extensive experience and knowledge that they can bring together to create new opportunities for their customers.
With this successful transaction, the innovative company Avoras will become part of PwC Switzerland in the second quarter of 2023. Established four years ago in 2017, Avoras has vast expertise in business transformation and boasts long-term partnerships with some of the top pharmaceutical & life sciences, and chemical businesses headquartered in Basel.
Additionally, Avoras has a significant presence across the globe, with its headquarters located in Basel, along with offices in Portugal, Germany, the United States of America, Malaysia, and Singapore. An estimated sixty of Avoras’ employees will be transferring to PwC Switzerland as part of their recent acquisition.

“This transaction will further strengthen our already leading advisory services and provides another massive boost that will help us to serve our customers in a more comprehensive way.”
Growth Strategy for PwC’s Business
Ralph Bäumle, Kris Ammann and Dario Götte, the owners of Avoras, will be joining PwC Switzerland as partners in order to further enhance their leadership team. This addition of new partners is expected to bolster the existing partner base within their Technology division and provide additional expertise. The trio brings with them a wealth of knowledge and experience that will surely benefit both teams significantly.
The workforce of Avoras, both in Switzerland and its international branches, is slated to be transferred into a shared arrangement following the completion of the transaction during the second quarter of 2023. This means that all employees affected by this change will have their roles assimilated into a new structure as part of the closure process.
