Australian software and services consulting firm Acclimation has recently launched its Quick Starter – Finance and CRM package that leverages SAP Business ByDesign, the SAP cloud ERP solution designed for growing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Earlier this month, it was announced that Acclimation was acquired by Capgemini, a multinational information technology (IT) services and consulting company headquartered in France. The acquisition, according to Acclimation Managing Partner Cameron Sherrard, is a tremendous opportunity for the company’s team to develop and grow, especially because both organisations have strong cultural synergies.
This transpired shortly after Acclimation’s several significant achievements apart from the recent celebration of the company’s 13 years of operations and growth in Australia. The Capgemini company stated that it is focused on expanding its reach in research and development (R&D) and delivering solutions and services aiming to support key market verticals.
In February, Acclimation launched the SAP Warehouse Management Application that extends SAP capabilities across the warehouse to help logistic providers and employees monitor their distribution processes efficiently. The app utilises SAP-UI 5 user experience, delivering a familiar look and feel to SAP Fiori.
Moreover, Acclimation said that it continues to develop its SAP integration and support services to address the changing needs of customers and their ever-evolving working environments. As part of this larger objective, the SAP Gold Partner recently unveiled its Quick Starter – Finance and CRM package, an entry-level enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution for organisations looking to implement SAP Business ByDesign for the first time.
Andrew Long, Cloud ERP Practice Manager at Acclimation, referred to the package as the “ideal quick-start solution” for companies seeking better visibility across different business areas but are not yet ready to commit to a full ERP implementation. He explained:
“The solution provides companies with a base solution that can grow and scale with their business as needed with the minimal disruption of five-week implementation.”

For businesses moving to ERP for the first time, the solution is a “great starting choice” to begin with, according to Long. Furthermore, Acclimation stated that it is pleased to be able to provide an entry-level solution for organisations that are not quite set for a complete ERP adoption yet still intend to explore the benefits of SAP Business ByDesign.
SAP Business ByDesign, which recently made its return to Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Cloud Core Financial Management Suites this year, leverages the SAP partner ecosystem to increase the reach of the SAP cloud ERP solution. Additionally, the German enterprise software giant made the bold move to develop this product to target the Software as a Service (SaaS) opportunity, recognising the increasing adoption of SaaS solutions, particularly in the middle market.
Designed to serve all the key needs of a growing business, SAP Business ByDesign offers applications for Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Financial Management (FM), Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Human Resources, Executive Management dashboards, and Compliance.
Acclimation’s packaged solution, which integrates with SAP Business ByDesign’s CRM and FM modules, aims to help mid-sized enterprises establish a foundation that can grow as their needs evolve while also reaping the benefits of an ERP system. According to the SAP consultant, this is designed to take customers to complete implementation and digital transformation with SAP Business ByDesign as needed.
“By integrating the Quick Starter – Finance and CRM solution, organisations can start to experience ERP systems without needing to invest in a full-scale system rollout. The package is a foundational platform that will grow with the business and has the potential to fulfill future capabilities when required,” Long further stated.
