Leading Australian SAP consultant Acclimation has recently celebrated its 13 years of operations and remarkable growth in the industry across Australia, having worked with key customers RACV, Country Fire Authority (CFA), State Emergency Service (SES), RMIT University, Monash University, La Trobe University, and Newcrest Mining.
Capgemini, a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology, and engineering services, has been ramping up its market presence in Australia and New Zealand with its recent leadership team restructure in the region and the acquisition of SAP Gold Partner Acclimation.
In March, Paris-headquartered Capgemini snatched industry veteran Kaylene O’Brien from its systems integrator rival Deloitte to be the company’s Regional Managing Director responsible for 2,000 people across Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Perth, Auckland, and Wellington. Her appointment came a few months after the promotion of Capgemini’s Australia and New Zealand then-head Olaf Pietschner to CEO of the Asia Pacific strategic business unit. Pietschner stressed that APAC is the enterprise’s growth engine that will be focused on data and cloud services.
Bolstering Capgemini’s position a leader in SAP delivery in the region with Acclimation’s strategic buyout, MD O’Brien said:
“They have built a reputation for excellence in delivering SAP and cloud solutions for a wide range of complex businesses. Our goal is to bring new thinking and innovation to our clients and accelerate their transformation to be more sustainable businesses.”
Managing partner of Acclimation Cameron Sherrard highlighted that the acquisition is a great opportunity for Acclimation’s team to further develop and grow, especially that both companies have strong cultural synergies that promise a seamless transition, smooth client management, and a solid career progression path for employees.
Growing with SAP Consultant Acclimation
Capgemini has reaffirmed its growth strategy in ANZ by acquiring the Australian SAP consulting and solution company Acclimation that has offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth.
“After thirteen years of sustained growth, Acclimation is thrilled to be joining Capgemini. I am excited to unlock the many synergies between Acclimation and Capgemini including an added delivery capacity and extended customer footprint,” Acclimation Managing Director Rod Taubman said.
He highlighted that merging the two companies’ SAP practices further strengthens Capgemini’s position as a formidable SAP Gold Partner in Australia. The acquisition transpired shortly after Acclimation’s several landmark achievements apart from the recent celebration of its more than a decade-long operations.
In February, Acclimation launched a new SAP Warehouse Management Application to meet the changing customer needs and help logistic providers and warehouse employees monitor their distribution processes efficiently. Earlier this year, the company ramped up its executive lineup with the appointment of SAP veteran Mike Giles as Head of its new SAP Centre of Excellence to help Acclimation deliver SAP integration and support services to better serve customers in ANZ.
