As part of its efforts to maintain its position as a leading innovator in the business space, the German tech giant announced new female executive appointments to strengthen its talented SAP management team.

SAP has been recognized by many as an organization that promotes innovation, growth, inclusion, and diversity all over the world. It has made strides to create an environment that is supportive of all lifestyles and cultures — which has in turn helped the company attract and retain top talent from around the world. The enterprise software giant is aware of the need for a more diverse team in order to better serve its customers, to understand and connect with their needs.

To that end, the company recently added two women leaders to their management team in a move that will hopefully continue SAP’s success and strengthen the company further. SAP is looking to be at the forefront of business innovation, with these new women executives joining them on the senior management team.

This week, Carmen Krueger has been named as the Senior Vice President (SVP) and Managing Director for Regulated Industries of SAP North America. Krueger is set to oversee SAP’s regulated industries sector, which includes companies that are subject to strict regulations due to the nature of their industry. The department will also help drive customer value through new solutions in those sectors, while also growing the public sector business.

After serving a number of high-profile roles globally at SAP, Krueger is returning to her roots in the company’s regulated industries business, a sector she spent most of her 17-year tenure. Previous positions include sales management positions for federal clients as well as being the first General Manager of the SAP NS2 cloud line of business. She was responsible for a number of key areas that have helped to make it a success, leading the delivery and operation of SAP NS2, as well as controlling its go-to-market strategy and generating revenue.

In addition, Krueger most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer of Marketing and Solutions Board Area at SAP and previously served as Head of North American Enterprise Sales Organization for Qualtrics. She is known for her achievements in the government and health care verticals over the course of her career with SAP.

Commenting on Krueger’s appointment, Stephen Risseeuw, National Vice President of State, Local, Education, and Healthcare at SAP, said in a LinkedIn post:

“Carmen is the right leader for SAP Regulated Industries at the right time!”

Strengthening the SAP Management Division with Female Leaders

Furthermore, SAP also announced that Inbar Yacoby will be appointed to lead their SAP.iO Foundry activity in Tel Aviv, Israel. Yacoby has had several managerial positions at the company over the last five years. Her previous roles included overseeing the startup and venture capital (VC) ecosystem as well as establishing the SAP Foundry, which is known to help businesses achieve their digital transformation goals.

Yacoby also co-led the SAP.iO Foundry Tel Aviv Program, which has successfully run six cohorts to date and has already established an international reputation in the tech ecosystem of Tel Aviv and Israel. The program focussed on a broad range of industries including consumer, energy, and supply chain.

Orna Kleinmann, Managing Director of SAP’s Research and Development Center in Israel, stated that the participation of SAP.iO in Israel’s technological ecosystem is essential to the establishment and upkeep of SAP’s leadership, in addition to the company’s ties with fresh and innovative startups, which have the ability to deliver advancements to SAP customers. Sharing her thoughts on Yacoby’s appointment, Kleinmann said:

“Given Inbar’s extensive experience in the local ecosystem and professional background, she is the ideal person to continue SAP.iO’s successful journey.”

Pleased to continue her role as a representative of SAP to entrepreneurs in Israel, Yacoby said that she is even more proud to represent the Israeli ecosystem to a respected, leading global software business like SAP. The female tech leader added:

“I am eager to continue scouting for startups from Israel and around the world that complement SAP’s portfolio in order to exceed SAP clients’ ever changing needs.”
