Looking ahead, the partnership between SAP and Microsoft shows no signs of slowing down. In an exciting development this month, SAP and Microsoft are taking their longstanding partnership to new heights by leveraging state-of-the-art generative AI innovation to address the core business challenges faced by their customers.

This latest collaboration entails a seamless integration between SAP SuccessFactors solutions and Microsoft 365 Copilot, as well as Copilot in Viva Learning, combined with the utilization of Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI Service, which grants access to powerful language models capable of analyzing and generating natural language. Through these integrations, organizations can also expect a host of innovative experiences aimed at enhancing talent acquisition, retention, and upskilling efforts, ultimately revolutionizing how businesses manage their workforce.

Commenting on the partnership, SAP Chief Executive Officer and Executive Board Member Christian Klein said in a statement:

Empowering Talent Management through Artificial Intelligence

The two tech giants have joined forces to provide SAP customers with the advantages of generative AI, leveraging its capabilities to attract highly skilled individuals for crucial positions and deliver tailored insights to enhance employee engagement. The SAP-Microsoft collaboration will be utilizing the Azure OpenAI Service API, to introduce innovative solutions that streamline recruitment and employee development processes.

SAP maximizes the potential of the Azure OpenAI Service API and data from SAP SuccessFactors solutions to create captivating and precise job descriptions. Integration between the SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting solution and Microsoft 365 also empowers leaders to refine job descriptions using Copilot in Microsoft Word, incorporating additional content and bias detection checks.

The final job descriptions seamlessly integrate into SAP SuccessFactors solutions, streamlining the workflow without disrupting leaders’ regular tasks. Moreover, SAP utilizes the Azure OpenAI Service API to provide interviewers in Microsoft Teams with prompts and suggested questions based on candidate resumes, job descriptions, and comparable positions.

Meanwhile, by integrating SAP SuccessFactors solutions with Microsoft Viva Learning, employees gain access to Copilot in Viva Learning for conducting natural language queries. This enables the creation of personalized learning recommendations aligned with their career and development objectives, utilizing data and learning courses from SAP SuccessFactors solutions.

“We’re building on our long-standing cloud partnership with SAP and bringing together the power of Microsoft 365 Copilot with SAP SuccessFactors solutions to transform how organizations attract and develop their most important resource – their people,” Microsoft Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Satya Nadella remarked.
