SAP Partner Cloud4C has collaborated with Telecom Egypt to help accelerate the transition to the cloud for customers through a new data center that leverages cutting-edge SAP technologies and services.

As Egypt looks to digitally transform, enterprises are increasingly turning to hybrid cloud architectures that combine on-premises and cloud-based resources. SAP is a key part of this effort, providing the software and platform solutions that help companies take advantage of the flexibility and scalability of the cloud. With the German software giant’s technologies, businesses in Egypt can tap into the power of the cloud to drive digital transformation and accelerate innovation — providing the data-driven decision making and enhanced cybersecurity they need to succeed in the digital economy.

In order to adopt and advance cloud computing applications in line with the most recent worldwide systems for managing postal authorities and global institutions, Egypt Post has inked a deal with SAP to develop an edition of the Business Transformation as a Service (BTaaS) offering RISE with SAP local cloud services system last September. The agreement seeks to leverage cloud application technologies and licensing of SAP Signavio to upgrade the present working environment to the newest global technical editions of the RISE with SAP system as an integrated solution, representing a major transformation and technological breakthrough.

New SAP Cloud Data Center Unveiled in Egypt

Aside from the company itself, SAP Partners also play a crucial role in driving the transition towards cloud for customers in Egypt. In addition to providing the necessary expertise and resources, these partner firms also help to create awareness among customers about the benefits of moving to the cloud. As more and more Egyptian businesses make the switch, it is clear that SAP Partners will continue to be leading providers of cloud services, helping customers navigate the significant transition successfully.

SAP Partner Cloud4C, an IT firm committed to expediting customers’ move to the cloud, has unveiled a new in-country cloud data center in Egypt in collaboration with Telecom Egypt. The company is focused on application-focused cloud Managed Services and end-to-end RISE with SAP services. The new data center will allow Cloud4C to offer its customers high performance, secure, and compliant infrastructure for running their business-critical applications. It will also enable the company to provide its customers with local support and expertise.

Cloud4C’s Regional Director for the Middle East and Africa, Rakesh Reddy, and Eng. inked the deal last month. Presenting the agreement to H.E. was Adel Hamed, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Telecom Egypt. In attendance were SAP’s President of the EMEA South region, Emmanuel Raptopoulos, and SAP Egypt’s Managing Director, Mohammed Samy, as well as Minister of Communications and IT Dr. Amr Talaat.

According to the SAP Egypt MD, public and private businesses will have even more opportunities to take advantage of cloud computing and evolve into an intelligent enterprise thanks to the new data center in the country.

“In other words, sustainable enterprises that consistently apply advanced technologies and best practices within agile, integrated business processes. With RISE with SAP and cloud-based solutions such S/4HANA, businesses in Egypt will benefit from advanced technologies such as built-in artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotic process automation, analytics and sustainability metrics. Companies can accelerate their journey to the cloud with RISE with SAP using Cloud4C’s data centers while minimizing cyber risks and expense, knowing that their data is securely stored,” Samy further explained.

Enabling the Adoption of Cloud for Customers

Cloud4C, in collaboration with Telecom Egypt, has developed an Egyptian cloud data center to cater to local needs for hosting data. Cloud4C has served Fortune 500 businesses in 26 locations across the world, modernizing and maintaining their mission-critical settings. Meanwhile, Telecom Egypt was the first telecommunications company in the nation to provide bundled services, and it is now one of the leading cable providers in the Arab region.

The SAP Partner will utilize RISE with SAP, a signature product offered on a subscription basis and features one responsible platform for support, operations, and service-level agreement. In order to accelerate a company’s path to becoming an intelligent enterprise, the solution offers a comprehensive digital transformation that goes beyond just migrating to the cloud or adopting new technologies.

In addition, SAP S/4HANA is an end-to-end ERP solution that is hosted in the cloud and includes cognitive technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and advanced analytics. It paves the way for comprehensive overviews of operations, the automation of business processes, the facilitation of the implementation of new business practices, the reduction of total cost of ownership, and the quick management of business transformation.

Sridhar Pinnapureddy, Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Cloud4C, noted that the local cloud data center will contribute to the rising demand for SAP services in the area as Egypt prepares to become the next major digital hub of the world. He added:

“Highly regulated sectors such as government, financial services, healthcare will need in-country data hosting and hybrid cloud managed services to realize their digital transformation goals while complying to local and industry regulations. Our key objective is to support such enterprises on their RISE with SAP journey as well as other mission-critical environment transformations, end-to-end.”
