Leveraging the SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite and improving enterprise resource planning (ERP) strategy, enterprises of all sizes are making the transition to a connected cloud HXM to better serve their organizations and their employees.

IDC’s recently published research, commissioned by SAP, shows that by addressing the needs of employees, suppliers, and local communities, businesses can not only improve their own performance but also have a positive impact on the environment. The study indicates that organizations that focus on employee satisfaction and development, supply chain relations, and community engagement are more likely to be successful in terms of both profitability and sustainability.

In particular, people sustainability is a term that the German enterprise software giant introduced at this year’s SuccessConnect conference in a bid to support organizations on their journey to establish a future-ready workforce and a more equitable world. People sustainability focuses on creating an environment where people can thrive both personally and professionally. This includes creating opportunities for everyone to reach their full potential, regardless of their background or circumstances. By putting an emphasis on this aspect, organizations can create a more inclusive and just society while also preparing for the future challenges that they will face as a global community.

Furthermore, SAP defines people sustainability through the following six core pillars that organizations can focus on right now to help individuals thrive. Each of these pillars play an important role in creating a sustainable environment for people:

  • Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DE&I): By promoting diversity and inclusion, organizations ensure that all voices are heard and that everyone feels like they belong.
  • Well-Being & Balance: Well-being and balance are key to keeping people healthy and engaged.
  • Trust & Transparency: Trust and transparency create a foundation of trust between employees and leaders.
  • Health & Safety: Health and safety are paramount to ensuring the workplace is safe for everyone.
  • Empowerment & Growth: Empowerment and growth help people reach their full potential.
  • Organizational Purpose: Organizational purpose ensures that everything employees do support the company’s mission and values.

“This is why a unified people sustainability strategy is paramount to the future of work. You cannot make progress on DE&I without trust and transparency. Empowerment and growth are limited without clarity on organizational purpose. Bringing it all together is what creates a resilient, results-driven, and people-first organization – one that’s not only equipped to meet the business needs of today, but one that can learn, grow, and adapt to meet the business needs of tomorrow,” SAP said in a statement.

Empowering Organizations with SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite

The SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite has been growing rapidly in recent years with innovative capabilities that enhance productivity and internal mobility in the workplace. Companies who use the SAP enterprise resource planning (SAP ERP) Human Capital Management (HCM) system can make the move to the cloud with the help of this solution, giving them a robust tool for implementing an integrated talent development strategy and producing a workforce ready for the future.

At SuccessConnect 2022, Amy Wilson, Senior Vice President (SVP) of Products and Design for SAP SuccessFactors, presented the newest features of the SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite, which are aimed at helping businesses close the skills gap and provide more opportunities for their employees. Demonstrations of the exhibited product highlight how the integration of data, machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI) can provide enterprises with the talent intelligence needed to match their employees with the evolving demands of a business and to facilitate more equitable personal growth.

Meanwhile, at the HXM technology road map and vision session, SAP SuccessFactors Group Vice President of Product Management Stacie Overbaugh showcased some of the company’s most interesting new developments in the areas of analytics, system administration, security, extensibility, and suite integrations, among others.

During the virtual event, HEINEKEN also discussed how it optimized the employee experience (EX) by adopting SAP SuccessFactors solutions and completely revamping its worldwide HR infrastructure in only three years. The Dutch brewing company was pleased to announce that its staff has adopted the new data-driven HR program at a rate of 95%.

Similarly, Vodafone Group Plc explained how it launched a worldwide transformation that benefited thousands of workers in many different countries. It was revealed that SAP SuccessFactors solutions have allowed the British multinational telecommunications company to offer talent management tools at scale, making use of hyper-automation and mobile-enabled services to boost productivity and create a superior user experience for employees.
