SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite Adds New Innovative Employee Solution

The German enterprise software giant’s latest innovative employee solution — which runs in the cloud and is a new addition to the SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite — aims to help workers discover various recommendations for ongoing development and growth.

SAP started developing Human Experience Management (HXM) years back and has since invested heavily in enhancing the SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite with new capabilities. These include solutions such as SAP Work Zone for HR, which enables employees to access multiple tools, applications, and systems from a single, personalised digital workplace to make work more streamlined and manageable. The software is a part of the SAP Work Zone module that provides templated materials specific to human resources (HR).

Furthermore, 2021 saw the launch of RISE with SAP for Human Experience Management, a package that intends to assist organisations in driving the cultural change needed for ongoing digital transformation and build a foundation for enhancing the employee experience. It combines the tech giant’s Business Transformation as a Service offering RISE with SAP and HXM solutions, as well as integrates with Qualtrics, to provide the flexibility companies need to shift their HR operations to the cloud.

This month, SAP further accelerated its strategy for HXM with the introduction of a new innovative solution that equips employees with personalised recommendations to help them grow and develop as individuals while also boosting organisational agility. Meg Bear, Chief Product Officer at SAP SuccessFactors, stated in the announcement:

“Preparing for the jobs of the future requires organisations to rethink how they approach learning, internal mobility and upskilling in a way that is informed by data and puts the needs of individuals at the center.”

“The center of capabilities and SAP SuccessFactors Opportunity Marketplace, which we previewed at the SuccessConnect event last year, are the latest examples of how we continue to deliver on our vision of human experience management,” she explained.

New HR Offering Now Part of SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite

The solution called SAP SuccessFactors Opportunity Marketplace will be marketed for general availability as part of the 2H 2021 release of the SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite. According to the company, the latest offering is backed by the center of capabilities which is a centralised system embedded throughout the HXM package. The framework utilises machine learning (ML) to generate an adaptable talent profile that evolves over time to reflect an individual’s whole self. This includes skills, expertise, strengths, and competencies, along with work styles, goals, interests, and motivations.

Rising above the traditional skills-based matching to pave the way for new innovative features, SAP SuccessFactors Opportunity Marketplace recommends a plethora of activities involving mentorships, learning, and networking as well as short-term gigs, fellowships, and assignments. With this, the new solution aims to:

  • Give employees the freedom to seek out and explore internal opportunities that correspond with their personal values, passions, and interests, as well as the company’s strategic needs.
  • Empower leaders with greater visibility and a better understanding of their staff and team’s assets and abilities.
  • Increase retention and engagement for individuals and organisations.

Moreover, the center of capabilities also constantly updates an individual’s development and growth preferences to ensure that the SAP SuccessFactors Opportunity Marketplace recommendations suit their current interests and objectives.
