SAP and Teamviewer, a leading global provider of remote connectivity and workplace digitalisation solutions, first announced their collaboration to drive innovation in the industrial workspaces in June 2021– beginning with the technical integration of workplace digitalisation and Augmented Reality suite Teamviewer Frontline into SAP solutions as well as its inclusion into SAP’s partner program.
Fast-forward to today, TeamViewer Frontline Augmented Reality is now an SAP Endorsed App, which means that the solution has undergone series of stringent tests – beyond standard SAP certification – to ensure they meet the requirements of premium certification. Premium certification for SAP Endorsed Apps, conducted by SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC), is an additional level of certification available by invite only and consists of three main requirements: integration certification tests, cloud quality check, and static security code scan.

Teamviewer Frontline Augmented Reality Empowering the Frontline Workforce
Specifically designed for deskless workers using smart glasses or mobile devices, Teamviewer Frontline Augmented Reality offers a unique AR-based software suite that can be integrated into SAP’s solutions such as Industry Cloud and SAP Field Service Management. The product suite helps SAP customers accelerate the digitalisation of industrial processes and workflows for logistics picking, assembly, quality assurance and maintenance as well as field service.
In Australia, TeamViewer has recently sealed a deal with VExpress Distribution, a national distributor of dynamic telecommunication, data and mobility solutions based in New South Wales. The partnership is centred on the seamless integration of the TeamViewer Frontline Enterprise Industrial Augmented Reality platform with RealWear industrial hands-free wearable Android devices to provide visual information to frontline workers in the field across the A/NZ region.

The AR-based workflow and remote suite for deskless workers Teamviewer Frontline Augmented Reality include:

- xMake.An innovative make-by-vision solution for manufacturing processes, xMake provides employees with dynamic step-by-step instructions directly in their field of view. It provides Flexible Workflows without programming knowledge.
- xPick. A patented and award-winning ”pick-by-vision“ solution, xPick supports manual order picking, incoming, outgoing, and sorting of goods, inventory control, sequencing, and many more processes in logistics and warehousing.
Furthermore, the solution utilises a shared camera stream and context-aware AR annotations to provide AR-based remote support to customers for precise and reliable troubleshooting.
