With the help of a dedicated leadership team, SAP MaxAttention enables organisations to run SAP technology and solutions in an on-premise, cloud, or hybrid infrastructure. As the German tech giant’s premium customer engagement program, it aims to drive large-scale transformation projects effectively through advisory, support, and other services.
Similar to the 2020 SAP MaxAttention Summit, this year’s insightful summit was held virtually last November 16-17, 2021 from the SAP Experience Center. The online event featured a comprehensive lineup of cloud and sustainability advocates, as well as industry experts who discussed how holistic digital transformation can turn businesses into an Intelligent Enterprise. SAP’s premium engagements package, which includes SAP MaxAttention services, has been helping global companies grow by providing industry- and process-relevant capabilities including best practices for business process intelligence (BPI) and hybrid and hyperscaler scenarios.
Detailing how SAP is responding to customer feedback in order to execute its vision, Kurt Bauer, Global Senior Vice President of Premium Engagements for Customer Success at SAP, shared:
“We are extremely focused on listening to our customers and how to maximise the value of their SAP solution on their journey toward intelligent and sustainable enterprises.”
Moreover, he said that SAP is accelerating SAP MaxAttention capabilities to move towards faster cloud adoption. Apart from this, Bauer added:
“…the RISE with SAP offering leveraging business process intelligence solutions, industry cloud solutions based on the power of SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), and design authority around architecture, data, processes, and sustainability with the Intelligent Enterprise Institute at SAP.”
SAP MaxAttention Helps Customers Transform Using SAP Technology and Solutions
Meanwhile, SAP CEO Christian Klein also revealed that the company is increasingly focusing on the demands of its customers to provide them with the best possible experiences. Sharing more about what the customers need today, he stated:
“They want close engagement with SAP and the flexibility to concentrate on their needs and deliver concrete business benefits. But our customers also value guidance that minimises the effort in implementing new technology.”
During the 2021 SAP MaxAttention Summit, a roster of 10 forward-thinking SAP customers and their respective SAP MaxAttention teams delivered meaningful insights from their digital transformation journeys. These include Walgreens Boots Alliance (Walgreens), an integrated pharmacy, healthcare, and retail leader; Kering, a global firm specialising in luxury goods; and Mondi, a multinational packaging and paper solutions company.
According to Erwin van Vroenhoven from Walgreens Boots Alliance, one of the critical success factors for the company’s SAP S/4HANA in the cloud project is a good partnership with SAP MaxAttention throughout the program lifecycle. In May, Walgreens completed the 9,100 store rollout of the SAP S/4HANA Retail system for its operations in the US.
The platform has so far improved Walgreens’ digital customer experience and has replaced the back-end retail, supply chain, and business services of the operations with modern solutions and processes. Throughout its transformation, the wholesale pharmaceutical company leveraged SAP MaxAttention to maintain a full-size performance test environment, enabling regular capacity and performance testing with new features and future volumes.
On the other hand, thyssenkrupp Steel was also assisted by SAP MaxAttention in developing efficient and standardised procedures, improving master data quality, and enhancing reporting and analytics across its 17 facilities and development locations in 11 countries. The global market leader in high-tech electrical steel is working with SAP experts on a dynamic strategy that encompasses technical architecture and security design, custom-code quality enhancement, data migration evaluation, as well as integration and gap validation.
For Thomas Saueressig, Member of the Executive Board of SAP SE for SAP Product Engineering, SAP MaxAttention helps ensure customers get the “best advisory services to run the best SAP solutions.” Ending the summit with a powerful statement, he said:
