SAP Partner M&A Deals Help Expand IT Firms’ SAP Business

Over the last years, the SAP partner ecosystem has seen a steady increase in mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Multinational systems integrators, consulting giants and managed IT service providers (MSPs) such as Deloitte, Capgemini, and Accenture were among the top buyers.

M&A deals in the SAP partner landscape often include a regional or talent acquisition that is aimed at assisting customers in moving from on-premises enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), SAP HANA, and other applications to cloud-based SAP solutions. More recently, business transactions among IT companies have also centered on SAP supply chain and application security expertise.

As part of the latest developments in the global SAP services market, VistaVu Solutions — one of the largest SAP mid-market gold partners across North America — has acquired R Tech Solutions. Founded in 2003, the Texas-based professional services company is focused on collaborating with SAP Business ByDesign customers to help them boost efficiency, optimise processes, and grow business assets.

Logy Aviles, President and Head of ByDesign at VistaVu Solutions, explained that the company will be able to improve customer experience and expand its delivery teams through R Tech’s resources and roster of SAP Business ByDesign experts. According to the two companies, the takeover will bring in more project management, development, and support capabilities to their combined SAP customer base.

Furthermore, Rashad Ahmeduddin, Founder and Principal Consultant at R Tech, will now be responsible for the SAP Business ByDesign Business Unit at VistaVu Solutions. Expressing his delight at the latest partnership, he said:

“We’re excited to join the VistaVu family to continue delivering on this promise and grow our solution offerings across North America.”

New M&A Transactions in the SAP Partner Ecosystem

To reinforce its SAP presence and cloud delivery capabilities, this month also saw Italy-based IT consulting firm Reply acquiring Enowa, a Philadelphia-headquartered company that specialises in the fields of cloud design, consulting, and development of solutions based on SAP technology. In a press release statement, Enowa noted that its expertise will help give Reply’s current customers access to SAP and business process specialists who can provide SAP S/4HANA and cloud-based solutions.

Under the deal, Enowa clients will also be able to benefit from the Reply network’s access to cutting-edge technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT), as well as a deeper SAP knowledge across SAP Customer Experience (SAP CX), SAP Ariba, SAP Fieldglass, and SAP Concur.

Commenting on the new development within the organisation, Enowa LLC CEO Ali Sarraf shared:

“We are very excited to be joining Reply’s network of companies as the leading SAP Consulting practice in North America. The strong interest in people, culture, and customer focus that characterise Reply fit perfectly with our corporate culture. Together we will have the opportunity to bring new value to our customers.”

Rick Place, Partner and Vice President at Enowa, maintained that the company will continue to deliver SAP business process and consulting that adheres to SAP’s future roadmap and meets business requirements. Global investment bank Equiteq, which has offices in the UK, France, the US, Singapore, and Australia, acted as exclusive financial advisor to Enowa and provided them with guidance on transaction terms, buyer outreach, valuation, and investor landscape.

Moreover, PricewaterhouseCoopers’ (PwC) recent acquisition of UK-based supply chain management consultancy and SAP Gold Partner Olivehorse is also one of several M&A deals that saw global players snapping up SAP specialists. The takeover is expected to bolster PwC’s supply chain practice and will add 60 members to its team.
